Initial Assessment

Our team works with you to create an initial assessment of your potential energy savings and a provisional project economic outlook. We’ll need the following information:

  • Building location, size and purpose.
  • One year of your monthly utility bills.
  • Basic building mechanical set-up and BAS information.
  • Basic scheduling information and addressable load.

Project Scoping

Once we assess the potential energy savings of your commercial building, our team will visit your site for a more detailed assessment. This visit produces a project scope of work and project economics.

EOS Implementation

An EOS implementation project follows the schedule below:

The SHIFT Energy project team works closely with your team to review our assessment findings and to establish project goals. From planning to execution, our team will be there every step of the way to efficiently implement EOS tailored to your commercial building’s unique requirements.

Data and Infrastructure Integration – We’ll help you choose the right infrastructure and provide cloud based hosting services. We’ll review, select, map and enable the collection of data from the building information systems.

Engineering and Optimization – We’ll review your energy billing history, rate structures, major mechanical/electrical areas, major equipment, typical equipment schedules, building layout, occupant areas, building scheduling process and technology, and collect the necessary drawings.

Engineering Opportunity Assessment – We’ll provide a detailed engineering design of optimization strategies and compile a list of Energy Conservation Measures to include in the EOS configuration. We’ll define the limits of operation of the specific BAS parameters and an implementation plan and deployment automated optimization strategies.

Baseline Development and Measurement and Verification – We’ll develop a baseline model of the building’s energy consumption, generate a measurement and verification plan and proceed to acceptance testing with your approval.
